Come scratch that itch at the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library with a Dungeons and Dragons (version 5.5e) campaign guaranteed to challenge and delight. This campaign was created and will be run by long time player and game master\, Chris Jones. Be prepared for a treasure chest full of laughs\, as our heroes are recruited by the secretive Order of Arcane Findings (O.A.F.) The purpose of the order is to locate and obtain items that have magical powers and keep them out of the hands that have no business possessing them. Can the party find these items and return them for safe keeping? Maybe more importantly\, can the party not blow themselves up in the process? Only you can tell the story! \nFor tweens ages 9-12 only. Online Registration Required.  \n*Don’t forget to bring a filled out character sheet!*

SUMMARY:2026 Summer Reading Program Bookmark Contest
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to dig into a creative adventure! \n\n\nThe Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is launching our Summer Reading Program with our very first Bookmark Design Contest. This year’s theme\, “Unearth a Story\,” invites artists to explore a world of dinosaurs\, fossils\, and ancient discoveries. From prehistoric creatures to hidden treasures of the past\, we want to see your imagination come to life! \n\n\nChildren\, tweens\, teens\, young adults\, and adults are all encouraged to submit an original bookmark design inspired by the theme. One winner will be selected from each age group: 8 & under\, 9–12\, 13–18\, 19–25\, 26 & older. Winning designs will be printed and shared throughout the library\, and each artist will be recognized at our 110th Birthday Bash on June 5th. \n\n\nEntry forms are available at the Youth Services Desk or can be completed online. All submissions must be returned to the Youth Services Desk by May 29 at 4:00 PM. \n\n\nWe can’t wait to see what you create as we unearth stories together!
