Homeschool Hangouts is a weekly homeschool enrichment program for students in grades 1–12. Each month, we’ll explore a different subject through mini lessons, hands-on projects, and creative experiments. Join us in the Community Room on Thursdays from 12:00–1:00 PM to learn, connect, and discover together!

SCHEDULE FOR APRIL – LITERACY (IN CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK)

April 6: Genre – Learn about different book genres as we create crafts inspired by genre.

April 13: Author Visit & Scavenger Hunt – Join authors Jenna and Maddie Reed for a virtual reading of “Library Trip” from Recess in the Living Room: Poems from the Homeschool World, followed by a fun and interactive library scavenger hunt.

April 20: No Homeschool Hangout – There will be no program this week due to the Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale. We encourage families to stop by, shop the sale, and support the library!

April 27: Book Awards – Discover how book awards work and design your own medal to honor your favorite book.
