2026 Summer Reading Program Bookmark Contest
May 1 - May 29
Get ready to dig into a creative adventure!
The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is launching our Summer Reading Program with our very first Bookmark Design Contest. This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” invites artists to explore a world of dinosaurs, fossils, and ancient discoveries. From prehistoric creatures to hidden treasures of the past, we want to see your imagination come to life!
Children, tweens, teens, young adults, and adults are all encouraged to submit an original bookmark design inspired by the theme. One winner will be selected from each age group: 8 & under, 9–12, 13–18, 19–25, 26 & older. Winning designs will be printed and shared throughout the library, and each artist will be recognized at our 110th Birthday Bash on June 5th.
Entry forms are available at the Youth Services Desk or can be completed online. All submissions must be returned to the Youth Services Desk by May 29 at 4:00 PM.
We can’t wait to see what you create as we unearth stories together!
